FASHION FUTURES: Desi Designs

2016, FAD Projects, Fashion Futures
The last Saturday of January saw our young beneficiaries working on their garment designs as well as honing their sewing skills.

For the third week running 16-19 year olds from all over London gave up their Saturday morning lie-ins, or changed the hours they usually work, to attend Fashion Futures workshops.

The FAD team and volunteers are super excited to see the final garment designs based on the young recruits research into the artistic heritage and contemporary fashions of the Indian subcontinent.

Thank you to all our industry volunteers for sharing their portfolios and work with our young designers and for your invaluable input into the design session. The Fashion Futures workshops will continue to run from now until Saturday 19th March 2016, when the young people involved will present their finished toiles and sketchbooks to an expert industry panel.
