Careers + Advice, Get Involved
Every so often FAD gets involved in an exciting collaboration that makes our heart sing. Cue a free portfolio course for 16-24 year olds in collaboration with the lovely people at the V&A.

The course is open to 16-24 year olds, who are not in full time work, education or training, and will take place later this month as part of the V&A’s CreateFutures programme.

Over five days students will take part in five creative ‘mini’ projects covering everything from shoe prototyping and digital print design to fashion illustration and hand embroidery, all inspired by the rich collections of the V&A. By the end of the week each student will have created a ‘mini’ portfolio, giving them a taster of the different techniques and careers available in fashion and textiles.

The course includes free entry to V&A exhibitions and a visit to the inspiring textiles archives at Blythe House, as well as tailored careers advice from the FAD team.
