With just three more weeks to go, the pressure is on as we progress with our pattern cutting at our Saturday workshops!

It has been a hectic but incredibly fun few weeks in Fashion Futures!
From researching, designing, learning about fabrics, having industry talks, printing & much more, we have learnt different skills from beginning to end to help us understand the journey of fashion design.
Now it’s crunch time and things have got that little bit more technical!
We had experienced pattern cutters to help assist us at Hackney & Lewisham College as we took our Korea & Japan inspired designs and made them into life size patterns. We looked at how to add seam allowance, facings, darts and adjusting our patterns to fit the shapes of the final designs we created.
We will be continuing to cut out our patterns and make them into toiles, stay tuned for next week’s post to see some of the beautiful outcomes coming to life!
