Nadine was only 17 years old when she took part in the 2008 FAD Junior Awards final at London Fashion Week. At the show she was talent spotted by River Island’s Head of Design, Naomi Dominique, which resulted in a two week placement with the high street retailer.
From then she has gone from strength to strength embarking on a Fashion BA degree at Ravensbourne University and returning to River Island to do additional placements and gain even more experience. The result is a truly unique design style, expressed in her covetable graduate menswear collection ‘Princely-Prince Of All Men‘.
Her first collection is a tribute to Jamaican movies of the 70s and the designer’s grandfather, Joseph Princely Peters, and is all about style and flair. Among other inspirations, the designer had Miles Davis or Jean-Michel Basquiat in mind, not only for their special style but for their association with music and their colorful world.
It’s this collection which caught the attention of Not Just A Label who selected Nadine as one of four menswear designers to showcase at ‘Who’s Next Paris’; an amazing achievement for a past FAD teen finalist! Well done Nadine!
